The Lanna Spa at The Regent Chiang Mai

Thai massage (nuat paen boran) is my favorite spa treatment. I always feel positively energized after having one. What better place to experience it than in the country this ancient massage originated? I had five Thai massages during my visit to Thailand in June 2001. One of these was at the beautiful Lanna Spa at The Regent Chiang Mai in the northern mountains. In the following 60+ photos, you will see Lanna Spa therapists, Ms. Kanchana and Ms. Nutcacharin, demonstrate a Thai massage in the Lanna Spa's the open-air penthouse, the Lann Chang Suite. Ms. Kanchana is wearing a loose-fitting Thai massage outfit called a "choot nourd" that the Lanna Spa provides for their clients to wear during the massage. I liked it so much, I bought one to take home.
